My time at the Iowa State Daily gave me tons of experience in a variety of areas. I got experience as a reporter on our digital desk, eventually joining the visuals desk as well. I took a lot of my own photography. I stepped up temporarily as a PR Manager for some Facebook Live shows we tried out. I also joined the team that developed the Daily Dose newsletter. Later that summer I worked as the Digital Editor. I really got to see what it was like editing articles and being responsible for social media strategy and management. I also got to work out a lot of kinks for the Daily Dose before handing it back to the digital team in the Fall.
